Raise in high wind

Howling winds welcome us back to The English Lake District. A slight dusting of snow and ice underfoot was the perfect way to be greeted by an old friend.

Back on familiar ground.

Above Ullwater going up Raise in slight dusting of snow, yippeee!

Calthwaite

Over 7 weeks of travelling, we are finally back in a place we call home. Sleeping in the depths of winter, Cumbria is a stark contrast from Australasia. Calthwaite will be home for a while, whilst we reinvent ourselves once more.

Ocean south of Bondi

It is so much more peaceful and visually impressive on the walkway south of Bondi, Sydney. Bondi is just one of those tacky 'must see' places which anxious tourists seek so they can tell friends they have been. Head south towards Coogee and you won't fail to be impressed.

Federation Square, Melbourne

An excellent selection of Aboriginal art plus a fascinating museum on moving images. Particularly good was the archive of home videos which Melbournians themselves have shot. We enjoyed the one of a chap rescuing a Combi Van from the outback.
